Hand Lettering with Creative Shaping

Hello! Today's installment of lovely little lettering is dedicated to adding creative shaping to your lettering. This is especially useful when hand lettering quotes or saying, and it adds an extra element to your work. I have recently been inspired by Stephen Kunz, who even has shaping templates he calls "grid builders" you can purchase and use.

Like always, this is a skill that gets easier and easier with practice. The methods I shared are the building blocks for a lot of the shapes I will use in my own lettering. It is always fun to try something new. Let me know if you try adding creative shaping to your lettering.
